Went to MATRADE last month....

For COTY 2011 - NST.

Found this - Z1000 naked..... my dream bike, but still out of reach ... nearly RM 77 k OTR !

This beast's quoted figure is : 0 to 160 km/h in 6.5 seconds !!! Kalah Ferrari !

HOWEVER,

Got the chance to "test sit" my next new toy.... Z 750, aka. Z1000's smaller brother

( But alas, NO test rides are available...huhu )

KAWASAKI Z 750 R - RM 66+ K OTR ! ( with ABS )

Amacam ? Ok tak ? does it fit my size? hehe

P/S : The photo's been altered.... for confidential purposes, hehe

....BUT with the current economic situation, the best Z750 that I can afford is a 2nd hand one.... huhu.

...need to wait for the backdated allowance n gaji dulu lee..... huhuhu

...BUT a bit afraid tho' takut by that time yours truly had changed his mind and instead gotten a Z1000 for himself,

The last obstacle..

Faced my last obstacle today.... the obstacle that has failed me once....

..nearly got the phobia for this last obstacle..

but Alhamdulillah, managed to beat this obstacle today.... and I PASSED !

Now it's time to search for a 2-wheel prancing horse, hehe

But all in all.... Alhamdulillah !!

p/s : Got to know the reason why i didnt pass the previous test... Wrong Gear !!!
bcoz i used 2nd gear to go through the 'bonggol's...no wonder the engine easily went dead..huhu

Hmmmm......

Absolutely NO MOOD to do anything today....

Had a BAD oncall last night, lots of complicated cases admitted to the ward... finished ward round @ nearly 130 am !

...also already exhausted my 'little grey cells' function.. A lot of cases to be managed, with LITTLE investigations done beforehand.... *sigh*

..only wanting to go to ZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzz......

Used to work for nearly 36 hrs before this, without any problems......
...maybe im getting old...... HHMMMMMmmmm...

Failure....a seldom-encountered option.

Sometimes in life, you may face things that you despise the most.... Failures !

...and that's what's happened to me last week....

..i failed my motorcycle driving test......and felt uneasy about it. :(

..not that i dont have the skills, but maybe Allah has better plans for me.

( apparently i managed to go through the harder part of the test, BUT failed in the easiest component of the test - the 'isyarat tangan' (part 3) test - the part where usually everybody passed ! )
... my ER6N bike engine just went dead in the last obstacle... FAIL !

...even though ive practiced and had undergone the obstacle for (at least) more than 40 times !!
( but sadly not much of a problem before this... ) .....nampak sangat takde rezeki for me..

...but then again NEVER depend on your efforts alone, instead you need to couple it with du'a...
...because the success are from Allah, and NOT from your efforts alone...

... the overall experience will somehow mature me, i guess
...and without failure, there will be no sweet taste of success..

...maybe this incident is a sign.... for me to wait first , before snatching a superbike, hehe

...but ALHAMDULILLAH, syukur because after all, i can skip the hard part of the test in my 're-examination' next week, and straight away proceed with the easier component...

My 'dark' lover (kekasih gelapku)...for the next 2 weeks !!

This 2-wheeled horse....will be my BEST companion, for the next 2 weeks !

1st encounter... was a love-hate relationship..

..remembered how I used to curse her heavyweight body, and difficult maneouvrability...

..and how I nearly fell off whilst hugging her body..... eeuuww !

...1st encounter hugging her made my hands and arms sore...until the next morning !

BUT.....

The 2nd encounter..... is different..

ive got ADDICTED to her overweight body, and difficult-but-stable manouvrability..
..and also i just LOVE to hear her squeal when pressed !

so I CANT STOP dating her...... until eventually the rain comes !!

..and separates us both...

Meet my best buddy and companion...for the next 2 weeks..

Our new routine - at Club De Rhu Beach Resort !

Well, it has been 5 years......

since we joined this club in 2006, and the membership closes shortly after that - so only managed to join for one year last time....

THE GOOD NEWS is....... the membership is currently re-opened !!

...so weve just re-joined it last week..

among the benefits are - UNLIMITED swimming pool usage - and the swimming pool is VERY-very-very-very addictive and attractive, for the young and old !

..other club benefits are - a FREE one night stay - without breakfast, and also FREE usage of the gym and indoor sports activity ; with discounts on dining in the cafe.

(..got the news that the club closed its application last time in view of the renovations made to the pool, and now it's READY !! )

THE BEST part about the pool for the old is -

its LAGOON POOL !! - and the max depth is 5 feet - JUST nice, and very wide !

..and the best part for the young is -

it's lagoon pool as well, with shallower depth of course !

...so SADLY i couldnt do anything in the evenings now..... bcoz my kids just LOVE to go to the pool !!

( last week we went there EVERY EVENING, till the pool closes ! )

Hmm.... a bit lucky that lately it's the monsoon season, so hujan2 ni they cannot go to the pool, hehehe...

...im planning to teach them how to swim one of this days... but must make sure that theyre not afraid of water first !! hehe

Another (insignificant) dilemma in life, hahaha....

Got to know a new dessert here.... good to know that there's a branch in Kuantan as well.

It's actually a FROZEN yoghurt... with multiple fruity flavours.... and you can choose the toppings as well !
( but each cup'll cost you around RM 5....depends on what you choose - can go up to RM 15 per cup! )

...But this time around i feel it's SINFUL for me to have this..

WHY ??

..bcoz of this !

NOT one, but FOUR cups of it !!

...err.... but this is for the whole family- lah !

Raya's over... ( even though a number of people's still celebrating it...)

Got the BEST of both worlds last Raya...

1stly, travelled down to Sekinchan.... Since my MIL's one of the best traditional Banjar cook ( siap buat exhibition about Banjar's dishes lagi last time, hehe ), Really enjoyed the Nasi Tomato Banjar !

below : Nasi Tomato Banjar looks just like other nasi tomato....( tastes a bit different tho .. )

BUT......

...instead of taking it with Curry or Kurma, it's taken with...

1) Ayam rebus WITH NO KUAH !

2) AND ..... A cocktail of Veggies mixed into 'Susu Cair' - so this will be the 'kuah' !!

YUMMY !!

..and after that went back to KTerengganu...... and got another best one over this part of the world...

NASI DAGANG !!!

( glutinous rice cooked in coconut milk, with fish curry )

YUMMY !!

..what more do you want in this life...hmmm

Went to my friend's house recently for a 'kenduri kesyukuran'....

And was given this as a present.....

"KACANG RIMAU GORENG"
- brought specially by his family from Raub, Pahang..... to be given to the guests !

And frankly, this is the first time ever that ive seen such a weird peanut..... with STRIPES inside !!

Tastes EXACTLY like a 'Menglembu' groundnut, despite slightly 'lemak' in taste, hehe (NICE !! )

..But i didnt know that there exist this kind of groundnut anywhere in the world...

Mcmana diorg tanam to produce this unique 'tiger-striped' nut skin pun taktahu...

but i guess it might be a type of a unique 'Gene' of the nuts!

Well, i've reserved some of them just for fun,

..dah nak lemau dah !! hehe

However, alas, it was made worse by the aggravation from the government...

(and the police, on the name of maintaining PEACE).

And, Personally,

I think this is the right time for the Government to reflect back,

and accept it in a 'Gentleman'-ly manner,

and rectify whatever is needed.

...but not to cover everything as if it never happened

coz it'll make things worse...

and it'll make you all look bad... and idiotic

Personally for me, i think it's time....

Entering a new world and interest.... of MOPEDs !

Developed a new interest recently... to motorbikes, and MOPEDs !!

Found some loose change, and then................ **habislah!
(..and i may also have succumbed to buying one...watch out for my next post, hehe )

Anyway, used to be a car-freak before this, but after Googling for hours, finally found that the world of Moped is also super nice.....nice bcoz unlike a car, the upgrading costs are much cheaper !

...but hopefully this interest-to-Moped thingy doesnt last long....... BCOZ it shud only be a transition phase, before i get myself......
....A Real superbike !! Hahahahahaha

..such as the ER-6N ( below).......

OR the newly-launched Yamaha XJ-6 Diversion (below), hehe

InshaAllah !

( but maybe lambat lagi to join the superbike world..... at least another 2-3 yrs kot?! bcoz based on the current economic situation AND also the un-practicability of them cruising in KL jams, hehe )

A Post WWII road near home.

Well, near home, there is a very old-looking and winding road - at Semambu in Kuantan.

Looks like a post WW2 road - similar to those found in Bukit Bentong lama, or Tapah ondaway to Cameron Hilands. ....but the stretch is just around 4kms, with near 360 degree corners ! .
( however photos doesnt do any justice - tak nampak sgt. 'kelamaan' jalan ni dlm foto ! )

NICE bcoz it's still GREEN..... and i think not many of Kuantan people who knew about the existence of this road..

And now it has become a regular route of mine, to release tension after a long day at work!

...Wish that i can turun kereta and jalan kaki around it, ada cliff summore, but the road is very narrow and there is also no place to park ur car around there...... *sigh*

Hehe, got an extra 'rezeki' recently... managed to grab hold of a new 'big boys toys'..

This time around, felt 'guilty' after staying in Kuantan duk asyik melantak ajee.....

So, need to buy something to burn the extra calories....

Got ourself a 'semi-serious' cross country hardtail MTB (mountain bike).
The Raleigh Diablo Pro.
( Actually this is a gift for my beloved wife, tapi aku pulak yg lebih2 ! Syiokkk !! )

Hardtail means - only got 1 shock absorber ( front), but NO BACK shock absorbers.
( kalau ada back absorber it's called Softail MTB ).

Below : the front Suntour absorbers

And equipped with 2 disc brakes (front & back) - for the ultimate braking experience kot??!
And it's also equipped with 2 Quando screws to dismantle both the wheels in a jiffy...

..And the usual Shimano gears.... 21 gears to choose from in total.

Ride wise is good, cuma after not riding a bicycle for the past 15+ years, the arse felt a bit stiff on prolonged ride.... maybe banyak lemak kot??!

The thing that i love about this bike is its 'Professional' look - looks like a Pro Mountain Bikers' ride, with its broad wheels and 2 disc brakes, despite the sub- RM 1 k pricetag..... Love at first sight kat kedai basikal tuu !!

The only disadvantages about this bike ( and also with other Professional MTBs ) is that it is not equipped with a 'tongkat'/stick - need to lean it against a wall or on the ground to park it.... but managed to kaw-tim with the old chinese seller to put a F.O.C. tongkat for our daily ride..

Update : after 2 weeks of riding it, the 1st problem started - Disc brake rubbing !

- Lucky a lot of YouTube D.I.Y's - fixed it in no time !!

Nasi Dagang at Pantai Bt. Buruk

Had my nasi dagang at Pantai Bt. Buruk 2 weeks back during my trip back home to Terengganu.

At Gerai Kak Pah, just in front of the jogging track there.

Well, to compare with the ever famous nasi dagang Chendering or Nesan Empat ...hmmm, Difficult, me myself do not know which is the best, maybe bcoz of the unavailability of both these 2 popular nasi dagang 'centres'.
( jarang2 test punn nasi dagang2 famous ni semua ! )

But, if you grew up in Terengganu and spend more then half of your life there, you'll surely be able to judge the 'qualities' of nasi dagang in various parts of Terengganu, and there are quite a number of stalls selling 'good quality' and tasty nasi dagang, almost equivalent to the 2 famous shops above.
...and the stall selling nasi dagang at Pantai Bt. Buruk has among the best nasi dagang that ive ever tasted.

and i think a lot of people agrees with me - in view of the costumers coming there - tak putus-putus !!

below : nasi dah habis lantak, tinggal kuahnya sahaja - ikan belum abis lagi... BANYAK !!!

The best part is - A LOT of 'ikan aiya' and also its gravy, even if you buy only a plate of nasi dagang there, the fish's amount is equivalent to 2 pax punya serving ! Nice !!

- Cant wait for another trip to my kampung...and melantak lagi !!!!!

1st June 2011 ..........Wow, it has been TEN YEARS of me practicing Medicine.....

How time flies !

You can imagine, for someone who did not even dreamt of becoming a Doctor ( was thinking of more towards jadi lorry driver or an engineer frankly !), ive managed to build my career in the field of medicine...

...and gained a lot of experiences throughout the years, and have been posted to 3 different states in Malaysia.

...not to mention countless of people met, befriended , helped and not (being able to) help-ed.

..life now is much more serene compared from the initial years, however, the more senior you are, ( err..the more pay you get kot ?! ) and more responsibilities shouldered...

...and right now what i can say is just a copy from McD's tagline : " I'm Lovin' It ! "

( tapi kena request naik gaji U54 dulu lee, hehe ) :P

A new (and interesting) way of hyper-marketing !

This new way is.....

To sell fresh veggies, fishes and meat,

In a FRIDGE !!!!

This new hypermarket was just opened near our house in Beserah...and it has attracted LOTS of attention !

they sell the veggies in a fridge, and tagged it : " Seperti berada di Cameron Highlands ! "

and it feels like shopping in a BIG fridge !

Of course the fishes are all fresh...bcoz its very near the fishing docks, hehe

...and the kids just love it !! (but need to wear 'baju sejuk', especially kalau nak stay lama2)

Frankly, it's colder than Cameron Highlands - i think roughly about 15-16 degrees gitu !

A rare ( but nice ) delicacy - Siput Mentarang

Ended our Cameron Highlands journey last week by staying in my in-laws house in Sekinchan..

They've introduced me to a sort of 'rare' local delicacy - Siput Mentarang. Well, it is said that this 'siput' is only available in the muddy beaches of the West coast of Malaysia... and they need to dig up sand to find 'em.

There are a number of stalls along the way from Tg. Karang to Sabak Bernam which sells this 'siput'.
( and being a local of Terengganu myself, i honestly have never seen this kind of 'siput' )
.....some of the stalls there are also selling Mentarang bakar - told to be delicious. but i never tried it before.
The price is also not that cheap, RM 8 per kilogram .

The taste of it is just like 'Kerang Rebus', however, the 'meat' below the shell is MORE than the usual kerang, a.k.a. clam.
Nearly 3 times more in fact ! - so mooree satisfying ! :)

BEST !!! ( I finally finished nearly a kilo of Mentarang rebus on that day !! stopped only after i felt 'guilty', guilty of having to raise back my Cholesterol level........, hehe )

However, it's an experience ill never forget, and DEFINITELY i'll look for it later during another visit to my in-laws scheduled in +/- 3 months time, HaHa

A Unexpected Birthday Present..

Celebrated my xx th birthday recently, and i got shocked on the same day.

why ? bcoz i got an unexpected birthday present..... from my 8-year-old daughter.
( in fact it's the one and only bday present i got this year, hehe )

....forgot to ask her whether she packed it herself, bcoz the packaging was VERY neat indeed !

This is what written on it -

....and i have to say " AMIINNNN" , especially to the 2nd statement.. InsyaAllah.

..and this was what in it..... An HOURGLASS !!! ( about 10 seconds per flip )

.....and it made me thinking.... that time is more precious than anything else in this world..

A KIV-ed adventure

'Hampa' betul last week......

On our way up to cameron highlands, we stumbled upon this.......

thus we followed the roadsigns, and arrived to this.....

wanted to do this..... ( Ada DRY package and also WET package ) !

HOWEVER time was not on our side....

So, need to KIV the adventure first...... may need to wait until orang dr. London pulang ke Malaysia

( +/- yg. dari JB ) pulak rasanya.... ( Nyoh, kita KIV dulu adventure ni - DONT WORRY, if interested, got a lot of packages, kalau taknak yg challenging pun we can opt for the ringan2 ones, hehe - will discuss back :)

A Source of Concern...

Well, lately the people of Kuantan is united against one thing....... to STOP LYNAS. !

Even though there is always two sides of story ( NATURALLY the Lynas side is stating that their operation is safe, and radiation is negligible..... it's like a seller who wants to sell his/her products, SURELY they are not going to tell the BAD side of it )....

As a professional myself, i would also like to hear both sides of story, together with adequate study and proof, and not just mere kedai kopi talk......

Some of them are blaming it on the politics...saying that the issue was brought up by the opposition- BULLS*** !! that's the main problem in our country, TOO MUCH politicking, until the safety and the welfare of the Rakyat pun dah jadi 2nd in line !!

Hmmm........ PERSONALLY, i'm AGAINST Lynas.....

Why ??

......... Isn't it good to Prevent rather than to Treat ??

De Templer Chinese Cuisine..

This is the last of the makan-makan spree during my stay in KL..

STILL Chinese food is among my preference, due to the un-'guilty'-ness whenever i take it for dinner..

Before i went back to kuantan, i managed to 'singgah' to De Templer chinese restaurant, just beside MRR2 near the exit to Wangsa Maju.

Managed to try 2 dishes....

1) Cantonese style Yee Mee ( the usual dish... kat kedai Tomyam Thai food pun ada benda nih ! )

2) And Prawn Dumpling ( Dumplings are a MUST HAVE for me whenever i go to any chinese restaurant, hehe ) - the prawns are Big, costs slightly less than RM 5 for 3 pieces ...

well, i think this is a slightly cheaper option to go for chinese food, compared with Dong Yi Shan..... and the taste is almost equally delicious !

....bcoz for this 2 dishes and a big glass of 'air sirap', it only cost me LESS than RM 15.....

Cuma, the MAIN setback for me is this restaurant does not have the renowned Home-Made Chinese Mee.....

Hmmm..... sayangnya!

...was thinking of trying Butter Prawn for my next visit.... Together with my Simvastatin or Crestor OF COURSE !! :)

A sense of belonging...

Well, after a tedious ( YES, i mean it, TEDIOUS ! ..especially the 2nd week of my course, struggled to survive ...to be awake ! ) 2 weeks of course here in KL, managed to complete it 'dengan jayanya'.....

However, the only thing i learnt and developed was...... a sense of belonging to this institution.

..And again, it is very awkward to start working back in 2 days time.. bosannya !

And, another 'sense of belonging' felt is towards the swimming pool of De Palma hotel Ampang in which ive rejuvenated after a long day, for the past 2 weeks ! susah tuuu.......... !! :P

Well, this week I need to re-run back the previous routines – which ive done countlessly for the past 3 years - Driving back to and fro - from Ktn – KL – Ktn……

There’s mixed feelings whilst driving to KL - the nostalgia, not to mention the ‘sadness’ of having to leave my family for one week again for the next leg of my compulsory course…

However, the BEST thing is – to race and test my 3 year old Babe – as fast as the speed can limit it – 180 km/h to be exact, before the speed limiter cuts in.

The car might not be as pleasant to drive as the German Gals that ive fallen in love with earlier, but it never failed to give me the smiles whilst driving ! :)

Then again, when my family of 5 is on board, you can't expect this 1.8L aspirated engine to perform like a sports car, hehe

That's why is currently planning to buy myself a fun-to-drive car ( big boys toys ) for me to enjoy....

btw, what's life for.....?

Day 2 Dinner... TARBUSH Ampang Point.

Day 2 of my course......Dah blank sangat dah, tekak dah cannot eat anymore.... !!

So explored Tarbush @ Ampang Point.
-small shop but the decoration was not bad..

Bcoz it's night time and nearing sleep time, i didnt dare to eat to the esophagus, instead ordered a Lamb Briyani, and also Watermelon juice...

Looks nice....Lamb Briyani .....but rasa GUILTY pulak malam2 makan lipid-laden kuah sebegitu !!
( tak tahulah maybe it's the batch of meat or it may be the QC, the lamb meat that night rasa liat sikit, but the good thing is they managed to obscure rasa hamis kambing tu.... )

Sugarless Watermelon juice...

Im not that IN to Arabic food (due to some monetary issues, hehe), but managed to go to a few places during my study in KL before.
..among my fav place was Hadramawt..

Well, due to my limited try this time, only managed to compare The lamb briyani in Tarbush with one of the main rice dish in Hadramawt...if im not mistaken Briyani as well kot?!

...price is almost comparable, but in terms of AMOUNT, the Briyani in Hadramawt wins hands on.... bcoz of its huge amount, it can be shared with 2 people. Instead in Tarbush, there's little amount to it... cukup2 untuk bagi kenyang aje.....

however, i love the Briyani in Tarbush bcoz of the fat-laden 'kuah', aka. gravy.... In Hadramawt, it's main rice dish is only equipped with chopped sour vegetable , ala2 acar gitu.. (see the photo above), so you may need to order another side dish to get the gravy

BUT Wallahua'lam, maybe i cannot compare both meals kot, manalah tahu it originates from different countries, so the taste SURELY cannot be comparable......hmmm..sebab tak penah buat research pasal tu, yg tahu cuma NGAP ! aje .......... hehe

Hmmm.... esok nak makan apa pulak nih ! PENINGGGG !!

My Boring Week........................pening

Well, starting today, ill be having 9am to 5pm lectures, for the next 2 weeks !!!

...SADLY today, it's our first day, and our bus was late and we've gotta sit at the front most row during the 9-5 lectures,
tak dpt le tido, heheh !!

Boring betul leeeee.......

This will be my view starting today for the next 2 weeks !!

...and this ( during surfing the Net at the hotel lobby )

ONE MORE PROBLEM IS.... FOOD !!!!!!!!!!!!
( problem sebab the organizers do not provide us wif hotel food, especially for Breakfast and Dinner, so kena makan luar le !)

Area Ampang ni no 'traditional' Malay food, instead it's filled wif FastFood, Mamaks and Arabic food !!

So dah taktahu nak makan apa, lastly took this for dinner for the 1st night......

and it MUST be coupled with this... !

AGAIN, the price of the meal together wif a glass of plain water costs me MORE than a snack plate in KFC, or a Big Mac meal......

Dunno why, maybe the meal is banyak and fit for 2 persons kot, i tend to nearly regurge back the bread, especially after finishing more than half of it - mind you this happens EVERY TIME i ordered this dish , a plain Roti Naan and Tandoori chicken....

Gonna be more adventurous ( and put a hole in my pocket) for my 2nd night (next) dinner, will upload the blog tomorrow, haha

( cheaper bcoz this Babe is born in Thailand, and not in south africa compared from the 2 previous German gals ! HaHa ! )

....Very good reviews, and good fuel consumption too...
...albeit the space is NOT as good as the previous ones, hehe !
( Do I really need the space that much? need to find a 'toy car' for me to enjoy the drive, hehe )

Dong Yi Shun Chinese Restaurant.. AGAIN !!!

This time around, AGAIN, home made mee is our choice..
The texture of it is simply MARVELLOUS !

..together with that, we tried the Dumpling Soup.... i.e. dumplings floating in the soup... slightly sour btw, but nevertheless not bad as well .

YES, now i know why we'd like to eat in the restaurant... because kalau lantak sampai ke Esophagus pun tak rasa bersalah sgt, HaHa

Thought of bringing both of them for a 'date', a.k.a. test drive (err..both the parents of Miss Polo and Golf are MORE than willing for me to take their gals for a ride ),

....but TAKUT after the ride terus buat lamaran !!! ....so have to cancel to bring them both for dating

....though the maintainance are bearable, but the price tags, especially for Miss Golf, is still beyond reach...

Dong Yi Shun Halal Chinese Restaurant

Managed to bring my family to one of the famous halal chinese cuisine restaurant in KL... located in Kelana Jaya.

It's been nearly a year since my last visit to the restaurant (wif my sister actually), and im now longing to taste its Dumplings, Soup and also the hard-to-get Crispy Duck.

Arrived there at 645pm, and surprisingly, unlike the fasting month the restaurant is not that crowded ( maybe tengah2 bulan kot??! ).

Got the chance to try back the special dishes, INCLUDING the home-made chinese mee...
YUMMY !!

#1 : The chinese home-made mee.... before it was turned upside down by the kids ( and all of us love it ! )

#2 : Beef Dumpling - the last piece of it - VERY NICE and juicy !!

#3 : The AWAITED Crispy Duck ( last time wif my sis this dish was sold out ! )
- juicier (tak kering sangat) and Nicer compared from the previous duck meats that ive tasted in 5-star hotels. + Really Crispy !
...It is said that this dish takes 1WEEK to prepare - to soak the duck meat kot?!
...this is a nice 'un, but we prefer it to be slightly saltier, hehe

#4 : Irfan trying his skills to use the chopstick.... AND wasted precious nasi and chinese home-made mee !!
Arrgghh !!

All in all it's nice to dine there..highly recommended,.....and also surprisingly not that expensive !!
Cant wait for another re-visit - nak makan chinese mee + Duck + Dumpling lagi, hehe

Dilemma...

Im in a dilemma right now.... to continue the next step of my career.

1st option : The easier way - with the ability to stay together and closer to my family + to go abroad.
   Cons : Slightly lesser opportunities if i decide to 'jump ship' to private practice later...
   No 'sign' yet whether im allowed to pursue this option or not..

2nd option : The harder way... may require me to re-resume my 'weekend husband'-ship status for at least a year to 1.5 years.. AGAIN ! However ive got the 'green light' to proceed with this option.
...However will have bigger opportunities during the later part of my career.
( Including - " Ka-chinngggg" $$$ , hehe )
   Cons : The training is harder... bimbang takut ill REGRET it later...


MY PROBLEM is im interested in BOTH of them, but dunno how to choose....
Thinking of doing istikharah...

Hmmm.....any suggestions?

Our first 'Warong-quality' ikan celup tepung !!

This is the first try - to produce a warong standard ikan celup tepung ( fish dipped in flour)

And we SUCCEEDED !!!! Looks and tastes EXACTLY like the Pantai Batu Burok fishes, hehe

( Remember my mum used to ask the recipe from the makcik warong stall nearby, but never been successful in re-creating the recipe )

This time around, my wife's able to copy-cat the recipe from trymasak.com, revised it and WALLA !

YUMMY....after this, dont need to go to the warungs anymore to eat the flour-dipped fishes !!

'No Active Resuscitation'

'No Active Resuscitation' - 'NAR' , refers to the term of 'not doing anything' in the event of a patient collapses, a.k.a. when the heart stops...

..this is usually reserved for terminally ill patients, patients with a very poor background history, or in patients whom we've exhausted all modalities of help but still having poor outcome.

Deciding for NAR is sometimes tough, but most of the time it is already anticipated beforehand.
....and again, it is up to the Physician to make the decision....

Alas, ive made a decision for 'NAR' to one of my good friend cum ex-working colleague recently....

Although it is a clear cut decision (patient having Child's C Liver Cirrhosis - a.k.a. end stage liver disease) , but then again it's a TOUGH one !

most of the time you'll made a lot of decisions in life without realizing it.... and sometimes it can be a turning point to you and the person involved...

..but luckily, in this case, to 'reduce' my guilt, ive re-confirmed the decision with my Consultant in charge..

Deep in my heart, i pray that may Allah put him among the Solehins in the Hereafter.. Amiin

Again, the monsoon season's still not over....

and as shown on my onboard vehicle temperature gauge, it was 23 degrees celcius outside ( BUT not as bad as subzero temperatures elsewhere :)

sorry bcoz the photos are blurred...shaky hands ! :P

..what i found useful wif my car is that as an imported car, it has got heater functions.... just switch it on at 30 degrees celscius and point it towards ur feet, and WALLA ! ...after 5 minutes the wetness of ur feet are gone ! hehe

Cancelling my plan to get a MacBook Pro....

Suddenly i have to cancel my plan initially...

Initially i plan to grab a MacBook Pro, tapi dah takjadi dahh...

sebab baru dapat Lenovo ThinkPad T410s...brand new ! courtesy of my Uni ( lended wif full service ).
with Windows 7 and also intel Core i5 processor.

so terpaksa le padam kan hasrat untuk tangkap Mac Book Pro, hehe

BUT.....

After a few days of using this computer, baru aku tahu kenapa ThinkPad Lenovo ni got it's own cult a.k.a. followers !
..sebab BEST GILER pakai laptop ni. ( if not for the FOC basis i shouldve gone for a MacBook Pro !)
im more of a 'netbook' person...already used my Lenovo ideapad for 2+ years already.. so already got used to the smallness and lightness of the device.

memang best pakai laptop baru nih, itupun tak explore habis lg...this is why i love to use this laptop

No. 1 : VERY ROBUST ! buttons and the built feels very tough and durable... in the spec it even got a built-in Accelerometer to prevent damage in case of an accidental fall.

No 2 : User friendly.. it even got a sort of a 'downlight' to aid us whilst typing in the dark !

No 3 : Very light ! compared to the size of it !

No 4 : faster internet, good sound.... and also built in biometric fingerprint scanner !

...may have other advantages, however tak sempat nak explore lagi ...

.....nowadays also already 'abandoned' my old Netbook, hehe

...but need to remind myself to write and publish more after this, hopefully, because NO DOUBT this laptop was given to me FOR A REASON, hehehe...

‘Tis the season…… to be exact, the MONSOON SEASON !! ( the best season of the year)

Up to now, the sun could not be seen for the past 3 days,and the rain been there, non stop ! … and today is the worst of ‘em all ! Recorded temperature was 22 degrees Celcius today !

My backyard waterfall has also turned into a “Ganazz” one…. Scary !

Hmm….my front compound has also turned into a small pond… ( Habis rumput karpet aku..)

But, despite all this, this is my best time of the year ! you can laze in bed till noon – tapi tak pernah buat pun !!

A case of a stained RM 1 note..

Last week I went to a grocery shop nearby home.. bought a pack of Maggi mee…

Went to the cashier to pay but instead it was rejected…out of the basis of a ‘dirty’ RM 1 note !!

( as shown in the photo above !)

….For me it’s ridiculous just because of a slight stain, without any tear, the shop rejected my RM1 note !

….sometimes it makes me wonder, just because of a piece of paper (a.k.a. ‘money’)… people are willing to go against the odds just to get it…

…. most people become slaves to money … working day and night , ignoring their families and loved ones…

How do I fare ?

hmmm.......it’s good if we can react to the Hereafter just the same as we’ve reacted to get MONEY !

..But still HOPING that the ideals of “nak tolong orang” AND "Kerana Allah" will still be there till the end…

Let's ponder upon this....

Everyday as I wake up at dawn
My mind start working the moment I yawn
There were many things to do, o dear!
That's why I hastily did my Subuh prayer
I didn't have the time to sit longer to praise the Lord
To me rushing out after prayer is nothing odd...

Since school, I had been busy every minute
Completing my tutorials and handing it in
My ECAs took up most of my time always
No time did I have to Allah to pray
Too many things to do and zikir is rare
For Allah, I really had no time to spare..

When I grew up and started my career
Working all day to secure my future
When I reached home, I prefered to have fun
I chatted on the phone but I didn't read the Quran

I spent too much time surfing the Internet
Sad to say, my faith was falling flat...

The only time I have left is weekends
During which I prefer window shopping with friends
I couldn't spare time to go to the mosque
I'm too busy, that's the BIG EXCUSE...

I did my five prayers but did so quickly
After prayer, I didn't sit longer to reflect quietly
I didn't have time to help the needy ones
I was loaded with work as my precious time runs

No time at all to visit a sick Muslim friend
To orphans and elderly, I hardly lent a hand
I'm too busy to do community service
When there were gatherings, I helped the least

My life was already full of stress
So I didn't counsel a Muslim in distress
I didn't spend much time with my family
B'coz I thought, doing so is a waste of time...

No time to share with non-Muslim about Islam
Even though I know, inviting causes no harm
No time to do Sunnah prayers at all
All these contribute to my imaan's fall..

I'm busy here and busy there
I've no time at all, that's all I care
I went for religious lessons, just once in awhile
Coz I'm too busy making a pile...

I worked all day and I slept all night
Too tired for Tahajjud and it seemed not right
To me, earning a living was already tough
so I only did basic deeds but that's not enough..

No time at all, to admire God's creation
No time to praise Allah and seek His Compassion
Although I know how short is my life
For Islam, I really didn't strive..

Finally the day comes, when the Lord calls for me
And I stood before Him with my Life's History
I feel so guilty b'coz I should have prayed more
Isn't that what a Muslim lives for?

To thank Allah and do more good deeds
And the Quran is for us all to read..

Now at Judgement Day, I'm starting to fret
I've wasted my life but it's too late to regret
My entry to Paradise depend on my good behavior
But I've not done enough nor did proper prayer

My "good deed book" is given from my right
An angel opened my "book" and read out my plight.

Then the angle chided me....

"O You Muslim servant, you are the one,
Who is given enough time, yet not much is done
Do you know that your faith is loose?
saying "no time" is only an excuse.
Your "good deed book" should be filled up more
with all the good work you stood up for..

Hence, I only recorded those little good deeds
As I say this, I know your eyes will mist..
I was about to write some more, you see
But I did not have, THE TIME to list".......

Merendahkan Takabbur..

Imam al-Ghazali ada mencatatkan lima cara untuk mengikis sikap takbur dalam diri seseorang iaitu dengan cara:

1) Apabila kita bersuara dengan anak-anak kecil, maka kita anggaplah yang sebenarnya dia lebih bersih dan mulia daripada kita kerana mereka masih belum mempunyai dosa-dosa berbanding dari kita yang telah dewasa.

2) Apabila kita bersuara dengan orang tua pula, maka kita anggaplah yang sebenarnya doanya lebih mulia daripada kita kerana dia lebih lama beramal ibadah kepada Allah dari kita.

3) Apabila kita bersuara dengan orang alim pula, maka kita anggaplah yang sebenarnya beliau lebih mulia daripada kita kerana insan sebegini memiliki lebih banyak ilmu yang beliau ketahui tetapi kita belum mengetahuinya.

4) Apabila kita bersuara dengan orang jahil pula, maka kita anggaplah yang sebenarnya dia lebih mulia dari kita kerana dia melakukan dosa disebabkan kejahilannya, sedangkan kita berdosa akan tetapi memiliki ilmu pula dengan sengaja kita melakukannya walaupun hakikatnya kita tahu yang mana satu perkara buruk dan baik.

5) Apabila kita bersuara dengan orang kafir pula, katakanlah dalam hati bahawa suatu hari nanti mungkin dia akan insaf dan akan memeluk islam. Maka semua dosa yang dilakukan sebelum dia masuk Islam akan diampunkan oleh Allah s.w.t. Sedangkan kita pula sebagai umat islam sejak lahir terus -menerus melakukan dosa tanpa mengenal balasan Allah yang bakal tiba kelak.

..Dan yang sebenarnya telah banyak manakah dosa dan pahala yang tidak mampu kita pastikan..?

In the doorway, there stood a very young medical student… perhaps just finished his preclinical years, now in the 3rd year...still full of enthusiasm.

Then came along a wheelchair bound patient asking for directions.. He politely showed the direction, and said ‘I wouldn’t be here if im not helping out other people’……

Hmm….just wondered… will the same medical student say the same thing in the next 5-8 years after graduation ?! ...will the enthusiasm persevere till the end ?!

Well, by experience not many of us still have the same idealism as before…"nak tolong orang" , especially after working for a couple of years… myself ? now trying hard to keep the same idealism as before..

…wonder why…

Maybe people DO change…. But for the better or for worse ??!

Old and Fondest Memories...

It has been 10 years since we've constructed this pond from scratch - in the year 2000 to be exact..

Well.....!! How our batch toiled and worked, albeit in the midst of our Pro II exam...( atau dah abis ProII ??! already difficult to remember *blush*

...but at that time I still can clearly remember that it's the first thing ever built by students in USMKK.... (maybe the 1st and the last kot?!)

it took us nearly 1.5 months to complete it, taking every bit of our evening playtime.

The first phase involves carrying solid rocks from Lata Tembakah..

and later got the chance to kacau simen every evening.

The BEST part was the last part, whereby all of us got a dip in the finished pond !!

got the chance to revisit back the erected pond during the last Raya holidays in Kubg Kerian.... managed to capture a few important momentos, before it's torn by nature :)

BUT a bit sad to see it unkempt..

....for those of you guys who're in USMKK, surely bosan tgk pond ni, but for me here in KL, it's really been such a wonderful walk down memory lane.. :)

FIRSTLY, it's been a long time since ive updated this blog.. to be exact, NEARLY 2 months!!

well, a bit busy with my daily schedule, almaklumlah now im in Nephrology Unit...

Well, all in all, ive managed to do some shopping last month... tangkap my new babes!!

to the left handside is my relatively new Touch Diamond 2, and to the right is my 640GB Hard disk drive - portable. Bought it both on a same day!!

Up to now, still satisfied with both of the gadgets, albeit the Diamond 2 have a Short battery life, which is very2 disappointing !!

Hehe it's been a month since my last shopping spree... wonder when's the next one !! cuma leni poket already not as full as before, since ive gotta start paying for my new house....so will not be so ambitious as before, HeHe

Well, tak tahu kenapa lately ive started to LOST things, esp. the last few weeks !!

avbove : my previous PDA box... which is now EMPTY.. sob..sob..

To date, these are the chronology of events that happened to me… :
( ERR... the keyword is 'LOST' a.k.a. HILANG )

28 / 2 / 2010 – LOST my cheap 2 year old handphone in a taxi on my way home to KL- nasib baik cheap HP je - bought @ RM 150.

5 / 3 / 2010 - LOST my cheap handphone ( 5 DAYS OLD ) - again dropped in a taxi on my way back to kuantan !! - NASIB BAIK tak beli BlackBerry, kalau tidak…

13 / 3 / 2010 - LOST MY WALLET, PDA TYTN2 AND HPHONE AGAIN !! letak only for 5 minutes in the oncall room , then pegi toilet and amik Wudhuk - later VOILA ! My wallet, cheapo HP and PDA ( TyTN II ) is stolen !!!

HP tu tak sayang sgt ( but still it’s a 5-day old HP !!), but yg paling sayang are my PDA and things like IC, driving licence, kredit kad, ATM card etc…. took me the whole day to block and renew all these things !!

above : My beloved ex - HTC TyTN2 PDA....tinggal kotak je.. sedih betul, tp dah takde rezeki.

A Very Close ( And UNWANTED ) Incident ! Nauzubillah !

Happened to us last Saturday…… Irfan got LOST in a shopping complex…. !
He followed his mum to a textile shop, and after just only 15 seconds, he was nowhere to be seen !!
We did a thorough check in the nearby shop but he’s still not there…. Memang Dah Panik Habis, sampai terpikir utk buat report polis, masuk s/khabar , defer M.Med dll. !!

....memang dia selalu ligat kat shopping complexes, dan dah tak takut to his surroundings lg...itu yg tak bagus tu !!

Cuma we were lucky that time,ALHAMDULILLAH, after about nearly 15mins of searching, terdengar budak menangis dari jauh, and tnampak Irfan standing there, nearly the opposite side of The mall - jauh gile dia berjalan !!
At that time, SYUKUR yang tak terhingga…. Nasib baik takde org tangkap n masuk ke kereta, kalau tidak.. Nauzubillah !!!

Anyway, moral of the story is…. We always take lightly for what has been given to us by Allah, Until one fine day when we lost it, we will treasure and feel the loss of it…

And moral number 2 - Irfan is GROUNDED, no more shopping complex trips without me around, or maybe kena tambat tangan kalau nak pergi jugak !!

...hopefully it'll not happen again, NAUZUBILLAH !!

WELL, ive had a very LONG holiday last month for CNY – total of straight 11 days . Got the chance to travel to JB and visit Cik’s house in Pasir Gudang, and later went back to KTrg.

MOST OF THE PHOTOS already been uploaded by Cik in his blog...sbbtu tak upload katsini :)

This is the 2^nd time we ever brought Aqilah with us ( sebelum ni baby duduk kat rumah je! )… no wonder dia terus je mengamuk after entering Cik’s house !! mungkin tak biasa dgn the different colours in the family room and the dining kot, or maybe letih with the near 6-hour journey ! ~iyelah, a lot of things happen during the travel – aqilah terkencing dlm kereta , irfan muntah, sesat jalan dll. !!

…so that’s why the supposed-ly 4 hour journey turned into a 6 hour one !

SESAT in Pasir Gudang Hiway... LOST RM 4.70 AND 30+kms of mileage !!

My Third Movie Trip… Ever !

This is frankly my THIRD movie-watching trip…. My 1^st one is during my sekolah days, whereby went with my parents to watch ‘Dia Ibuku’ years ago ! My second movie was with my sis, when I sort of WON 2 free passes to see Spiderman 3 debut about 2 yrs back….

…so this is the third time… :blush:

Went to watch AVATAR 3D recently with my wife, after hearing a lot of its reputations … ( itupun setelah diajak berkali2 oleh my wife , hehe)… and frankly it’s worth it J

Hehe maybe im not much of a happening person, or a movie-goer before… or a type of family man perhaps??! :P

So now my wife is ‘addicted’ to movies, and we planned to go for our next movie trip soon, maybe next weekend, HaHaHa

This story really touched me, read till the end:

A woman came home from work late, tired and irritated,
to find her 5-year old son waiting for her at the door.

SON: 'Mummy, may I ask you a question?'

MUM: 'Yeah sure, what it is?' replied the woman.

SON: 'Mummy, how much do you make an hour?'

MUM: 'That's none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?' the woman said angrily.

SON: 'I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?'

MUM: 'If you must know, I make RM 50 an hour.'

SON: 'Oh,' the little boy replied, with his head down.

SON: 'Mummy, may I please borrow RM 25?'

The mother was furious, 'If the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you are being so selfish. I don't work hard everyday for such childish frivolities.'

The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door.

The woman sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy's questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money?

After about an hour or so, the woman had calmed down, and started to think:

Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that RM 25 and he really didn't ask for money very often . The woman went to the door of the little boy's room and opened the door.

'Are you asleep, son?' She asked.

'No Mummy, I'm awake,' replied the boy.

'I've been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier' said the woman. 'It's been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here's the RM 25 you asked for.'

The little boy sat straight up, smiling. 'Oh, thank you Mummy!' he yelled. Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills.

The woman saw that the boy already had money, started to get angry again.

The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked up at his mother.

'Why do you want more money if you already have some?' the mother grumbled.

'Because I didn't have enough, but now I do,' the little boy replied.

'Mummy, I have RM 50 now. Can I buy an hour of your time? Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner with you.'

The mother was crushed. She put his arms around her little son, and she begged for his forgiveness.

It's just a short reminder to all of you working so hard in life. We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts. Do remember to share that RM 50 worth of your time with someone you love.

Mainan Budak Lelaki Besar ( Big Boys Toys ! )

Well, this is another exam wishlist yg tak ter-fulfill sebelum ini…hehe bcoz of the cost involved !

But finally got some rezeki, a.k.a. year end bank dividends, yg membolehkan aku grab one of these, haha

This is my 2^nd video game console, after I bought Playstation 1… err.. that was 9 years back, during my housemanship training in Hosp Alor Setar. ..but still playable until now.

Initially I was tempted to grab either PS 3 or PS 2, but because of the more family-friendly reputations of Nintendo Wii, and the exercise ability when playing the games, then ive grabbed it last weekend. The price is also between the price of PS 2 and PS 3… and together with it ive added the Wii motion plus, 1 extra controller ( + the Nunchuk ), and 1 rechargeable port !

The slightly panjang controller on the right is the add-on motion plus sensor...lets you able to enjoy 360 degrees of control !

Indeed the experience was a good one ! we enjoyed it nearly the whole day last Saturday, dari pagi sampai malam, sampai sakit lengan, bahu dan kaki ! –hehe wondered also how many calories ive burnt, haha !

… and with an upgrade of Wii Motion Plus, the enjoyment was even more real !

Loved the Wii Sports Resort games ! Memang BEST ! The best part is to see Husna and Irfan able to enjoy the games, in which they’ve been having a very hard time to enjoy before when playing with our old PS 1 ! sbb budak2 ni nampak mcm susah nak guna the small buttons to control the character’s movements ! but with Wii, it’s definitely different !

the only thing is that i think that the games are not for hardcore gamers...bcoz of the graphics and gameplay that cannot beat PS 3, but the images still looks good on my 37 inch LCD TV.

…Cuma sekarang ni sedih sikit…sebab ive left the Wii unit at home in Kuantan, uwaa !!!

..and now tengah berangan untuk next upgrade – the Wii Fit with its balance board , HaHa !

A Walk Down Memory Lane...And A Walk To Remember

Got the opportunity to visit back my old place in Pekan recently ( itupun sbb kena testify di court about a case dated nearly 4 yrs back ). And it's a trip to remember....

Sampai sana dah tak kenal dah Pekan ni. Ondaway pun dah lain ! Now there's a 4 lane road all the way to Pekan....construction now already up to Kg. Semangat - best betul sped up my Wish up to 150 km/h , hehe ;)

Stayed in Pekan from Sept 2002 ( after finishing my HO training ), until March 2006. And berulang alik thru this road DAILY for nearly 3 yrs ( me + my wife la ) !!

In town , Basically the overall structures are still the same.. Most memorable ones will be the HOSPITAL itself... whereby ive learnt A LOT about things which is not there in medical textbooks... friendship, responsibility and experience.

....and another memorable structure will be... The MORTUARY ! ( bcoz im among the biggest 'collector' of post mortems among the MOs ! )

btw, now, all of these buildings have been converted to Pekan Out pt. Dept. already...

Other memorable places are the Padang Polo – where we usually followed the Tg. Mahkota Pahang for his monthly dose of Polo.

The new Hospital...never got the chance to work here.

....the end of Sungai Pahang, the longest river in Peninsular Malaysia..

The infamous Murtabak Mengkasar a.k.a. Murtabak Pekan... have enough of it during my stay there :) ( gambar tak clear - it was a rainy November day)

The serene and empty road near Kuala Pahang - nearly 15 kms of it... tempat santai + rempit hujung minggu :)

Well, again, somewhere at the end of this month, there'll be another visit to Pekan, Can't wait, Yeahoo !

Well, after finishing all of the exam duel, decided to award myself with a ' token of appreciation ', hehe...

Stumbled upon a house recently in Jeram Estate Kuantan, less than 350 K ( REALLY stumbled upon the house, tak penah tpikir pun about buying one this soon ! Cuma tergerak hati nak visit the place 1month back and WALLA ! ~ Maybe its also a gift from Allah..)

... it's just a simple single storey bungalow - Built area only 1700+ sq.ft., but the land area is 6700+ sq.ft. ...which I think is more than enough and worthwhile for me and my wife to work on, haha !

THE BEST part is the presence of air terjun bukit right at the back of the bungalow... 24hrs terdengar deruan air terjun... boleh guna lg utk in case of need ! tp tak tahu samada sterile atau tidak..kalau sterile boleh buat mineral water business :)

But SAYANG betul nak tinggalkan rumah lama dulu.... yg bakal disewakan lepasni... A lot of memories there... And lepas ni kena siap kira budget le... and tak blh enjoy sgt.. hehe

After The 2nd Duel.. Alhamdulillah !

Well, the 2^nd duel is over last week.... that is our Clinical part of part 2 masters exam..

it's actually worst than the 1^st ( theory part ) duel...especially the mental insult and preparation involved ! ...... Apparatus wise also needs to be checked, iyelah dah already 2 yrs of it sitting in the cupboard !

Iyelah, to perform at the front of the consultants with absolute precision... Gabra !!!

Even though what the others might say, it's truly challenging for me.. ( and actually for a lot of us ), maybe im not the type who likes to 'buka mulut' in the previous teaching sessions – always the backbencher type, ( hehe itulah akibatnya ! ) When you're not 'trained' to speak, then you'll have a very tough time to open up your mouth when the need comes ! :)

..but again, if you're trained as well, it depends on your performance at that particular time and place, at the front of that particular examiners ...... and if you fumble, then........ Nauzubillah !

....that's why we need to try our BEST and leave everything to Allah...

and ALHAMDULILLAH, truly, believe me my friend, Allah's help is very near......

Alhamdulillah, on 17th October 2009 @ 520 a.m. there is a special arrival of an 'orang baru' in our family....

Delivered @ 3.1 kg ( the heaviest of em all ), kuat nyusu lagi !!

and AGAIN im destined to be oncall 3 hrs after the delivery.... ( come to think of it - im doing both DeepaRaya Calls !!!! ) sebab unable to find a replacement MO in a short notice....this is because the progress of this delivery was soo fast.. contraction started @ 6pm, followed by heavier contractions @ 2 am. ....went to Hospital Serdang ( in order to get the 1st class privilege - VERY NICE wards frankly !! ) arrived there @ 4 am. - Os 4 cm - ARM done

Os fully at 5 am. Alhamdulillah no complications whatsoever.

.....also did discussed earlier whether to go for delivery in HUKM or Serdang... bcoz if born in PPUKM jadi orang KL le !!!

.... nasib baik im able to settle all the ward admissions + cater for the things to be bought downstairs before going for my oncall...settled everything @ exactly 800am and sped off to PPUKM for my call.

.... Nama ?? still blurred lagi... Ideas anyone ?! :)

A small test in life...Subhanallah !

Well, life is full of tests..... most of the time we're unaware of the daily tests from Allah.....

but when it comes to a proper test , a.k.a. exams , then we barulah realize and try our best to succeed..

This week, we've sat for our Part 2 exam...

...and again, post exam, our minds are busy and usually depressed with a lot of perceptions...

( during the time of blogging, they're still marking our papers.. )

....weve already given almost the best that weve got, and nobody in their right mind is willing to accept failures, but AGAIN, every success is from Allah....

and DO NOT EVER think that the success comes from our own doings.....

.... so, we need to try our BEST and leave everything to Allah.....

....just a point to ponder.... even with this SMALL exam in life we've felt the heat and the stress of it, are we prepared for the BIGGEST exam in the Hereafter ???

RAYA 09... MY version !

Hmm...this raya ive got a Golden opportunity to do ONCALL !! ( I got "lucky" actually, hehe... thanks to Dr. Hana (who conducted the lucky draw, and Dr. Ema, who cabut-ed my name ! -no hard feelings actually )! . Its funny Tapi tak pernah pulak aku Menang apa2 lucky draw sblm ni....... Hmmm, kalau menang Merc ke, Banglo ke best gak, haha !

gotta do call on the 2^nd day of Raya..but instead changed it to the 1ST DAY !! memang a lot of people will be 'syahdu' ....but not for me, as my part 2 exam is just 2 weeks after Raya ! ~ so not much of Raya this year after all......

This is my Oncall Raya duty :

8– 9.00 a.m - Solat Raya @ masjid AnNajihin Sri Permaisuri

9.30- 1.00pm - Ward round in CCU / CRW - after makan ketupat rendang brought by the nurses...( Thanks ya ! REALLY Appreciate it !! ) Lucky not many patients that day.... only 5 pts in CRW and 3 in CCU. At 11.00am, joined the crowd for the Majlis Raya PPUKM. Nice !!

Later we 'rewang2' to the Tentera Darat Museum in PD. A lot of 'artefacts' over there, but among the most interesting ones are the 'Terowong Komunis' - about 100 – 200 metres long, with REAL artefacts from the yesteryears. This is a real tunnel under the museum complex . ! Quite eerie... lucky ramai orang time tu.. hehe

This is our mini weekend tour of Port Dickson... lucky enough to join one of the seminars last weekend in Avillion PD.

Nice resort with nice food ! ( frankly this is the 1^st time i've ever stayed in a resort above the Straits of Malacca .... and enjoyed it :) . .. especially the berbuka puasa part !

and theyre SABAR enough to wait for the bait to be eaten... until noon !

....would they still be able to catch any fishes by putting their jorans so near to each other??

maybe that's what they call rezeki... Subhanallah !

....hmmm im considering myself to be lucky enough bcoz my hobby is just a click away, hehe !!

Holiday Retreat Near Home

Well... your perception changed a lot when youre having a holiday, even though you are holiday-ing in your own place.... feels like a totally different place.

So last week managed to go to Hyatt Kuantan in Teluk Cempedak ( thanks to Novartis for making this trip possible ) ,

Felt like the place is far far away from home...

( even though home is just 10 minutes drive away ! ).

Kuala Lumpur !

well, actually this is the first time ive ever stayed in Kuala Lumpur.. ( even though part of my family is already in KL ).

the hustle and bustle of the city is very much different from my hometown, and initially it's quite 'suffocating', with the jams and other stuffs.. ( still adapting to it, hehe )

...even though KL has got A LOT of happening places , im not the happening type, ( more towards a family man, hehe )

it's nice to escape work once in a while..this time our destination is Cameron Highlands...

so last April we went there..

been there a few times before, ( actually tak tahu nak pegi mana dah.. ! )

this time only stayed there for 1 night, but because of the hotness of the climate nowadays, esp. in KL / Kuantan , we all REALLY enjoyed the stay....

went to BOH's Sungai Palas tea plantation... had the opportunity to have some cakes and hot tea there.. the kids enjoyed it so much, yummy !

stayed in a hotel at the heart of Brinchang... thats why able to take a few photos from the hotel room...

and...as always, the best part of every holiday is.. SHOPPING ! ( this was taken at Kea farm )

hmm... when youre staying elsewhere, the 'attachment' will always be there to home.

especially when you bought your own, and not renting somewhere, indeed the feeling of warmth is there, ( despite the un-settled debts, hehe )

My First DSLR experience

well,.... life's full of surprises.

ive unexpectedly bought a DSLR about a month ago... ( hehe after my first compact camera drowned in the pool ).

hmm.... people told me that the hobby is expensive. And indeed it is !

but for amateurs like me there's nothing much to worry, but loads of things to explore !

and here i am with my DSLR.. a lot of colleagues' are using it albeit not much time yet to explore its full capabilities..

( hehe maybe some of the photos already 'basi',... already posted in fb before.... hehe this is just a 'trial' of uploading photos in my first ever blog :) )

and then, the images are the same...

slightly blurred and unsatisfactory due to compression (done before posting it to fb the other day ).. and no time to re-edit it, hehe
